Community Building of Young Researchers
First Announcement and Call for Organisation
The European Federation for Information Technology in Agriculture, Food and the Environment (EFITA) is pleased to announce its intention to establish ‘Young Researchers Summer Schools (YRSS)’. The implementation of YRSS is voluntarily undertaken by eligible research and educational institutions (Universities, Research Centres etc). The objective of YRSSs is to promote cross-domain training and collaboration opportunities among young researchers worldwide, working on topics related to the EFITA goals. The programme may include lectures, practical and working sessions as well as research opportunities. Through these YRSSs advanced PhD students will be identified and encouraged to present their research at the next EFITA 2011 Conference in Prague.

Applications Due: 31-03-2010
Notification of Acceptance: 30-04-2010
School Duration: One (1) week during the period June-September 2010
Costs and Support
The cost will include students accommodation (6 nights), meals and excursions), lecturing expenses and EFITA 10% fee. The Organizers will try to benefit from governmental funds or sponsors to lower the cost or to increase the extras.
